Taste of Beauty
Taste of Beauty is a plant-based restaurant in the heart of West Hollywood. We cook with what the season brings, and we name our courses after the places they came from — an island, a rainforest, a high meadow. Come on a Tuesday, come with eight friends, come for an evening you want to remember. It’s the same table.
What We Believe
Beauty begins with seeing life differently. A vegetable as more than a side dish. An animal as another living being. A meal as something still attached to soil, and season, and place. Ourselves as part of nature rather than above it.
That’s why we cook with plants. Not to tell anyone what to give up — there is already so much here.
THE PLANT
There is more to a vegetable.
Give a plant your full attention and it becomes something else entirely. A mushroom can hold a whole forest. Some ingredients whisper — we like listening.
THE MAP
Every plate is a place.
The Island. The Rainforest. Mountains and Rivers. Each course is named for somewhere on this Earth, and cooked with what that place would have given us. Los Angeles lets us borrow from everywhere at once.
THE SEASON
The Earth never serves the same menu twice.
Some dishes last one season and never come back. That isn’t a problem we’re solving. It’s the reason to come back.
